The site is outside the National Highway 24 near the Akshardham temple in Noida intersection. To be created at a cost of $ 230.7 million (including Residential Zone), the Games Village will extend over an area of 63.5 hectares (158.4 acres). Village Games is a cornerstone of the government’s plans to transform the capital to Delhi in a “global city”. As several of the frenzied real estate development happening in and around Delhi as part of these plans, the Games Village is getting constructed by private builders, the Ministry of the group in collaboration with the Dubai-based Emaar Properties. The website will be ready by the end of next year. In the vicinity there are internationally known monuments and places like the Bahai Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Akshardham Temple etc. Surrounded with a dense green natural cover, the city will be a relaxing and soothing atmosphere for athletes and officials.
